ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

We here at the Gulf Coast Exploreum in Mobile Alabama made it though Ivan,
in great shape. That is the up side. The downside to our visit with Ivan is
that we were unable to attend ASTC. Being that this is my first year in the
science center circle, other than frequent interaction as a guest, I was
looking forward to ASTC. I know that I missed a great deal of information
and a great opportunity to grow. It is unfortunate that this conference
comes only once a year. The other big downside is that we missed the
freebies from the exhibitors. I was looking forward bringing back some cool
stuff for our presenters in the lab.
On a more serious note, I am in charge of our hands on chemistry
lab, just like the one at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. If
anyone went to a seminar or saw some information which may be beneficial to
such a lab setup please let me know.
