This morning on my way to work I listened to a Podcast from Colonial
Williamsburg. It was an interview with someone at CW who gives tours to
children. I thought the idea was fantastic, if the implementation a bit
amaturish. I preferred the 4th of July edition which was simply their Thomas
Jefferson portrayor reading the Declaration of independence. Rivetting!

What I like the best about Podcast technology is that I get updates to my
iPod automatically from those that I subscribe to. Once a week I
automatically get the latest Science Friday from Ira Flayto (sp?) and except
for the intial act of subsribing, I never have to lift a finger again to get
it. And its FREE!

This technology opens up whole new areas of ways to repurpose AV material
created for other programs and ways to reach people a world away with
original programming.

An ID tour of a National History museum? Interesting. But why stop there?
Why not a scientist giving a tour of the new Answers in Genesis Museum set
to open soon near Cincinnati to explain why we know that Dinosaurs did not
coexist with people? Or maybe a tour by scientists and historians of famous
cathedrals and art museums to explain why many of the images in the
religiously based art are scientifically and historically suspect?

The possibilty of tours and interpretation targetted to niche audiences is
endless.

People are recording their own ("unofficial") audio tours of museums,  
and publishing them on the internet as podcasts, for anyone to  
download.

Wow!  What a concept!
The possibilities are endless.

I think an intelligent design tour of a natural history museum would be  
very interesting.
