ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I think we are in danger of loosing credibility if we take
sides on issues. it is not that one side is right or wrong it is
what lens are you looking at the data upon which you make a decision
(evolution, global warming, smoking etc). Sure there is personal
choice for individuals but our role is to present unbiased
information for visitors to base their personal choices on. I am not
going to get into an argument with a visitor whether science or
religion is the correct lens to look at the natural world. There just
is no discussion about that in a science museum.

>To what degree are science museums about CHANGING minds versus presenting
>content? Perhaps an analogy might be -- to what extent are modern art museums
>about creating modern art lovers versus presenting modern (challenging) art?
