• Fixed Term (1 year) Full Time Appointment
UOW’s Science Centre provides unique and entertaining science
education and awareness to our local schools and the general
community. Expansions to the Science Centre are nearing
completion. Facilities include a planetarium,
exhibit halls, science theatre, observatory, workshops and retail
facilities. Attendance currently exceeds 60,000 visitors per year.
An opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic person to
join our team in this newly created role. You will be required to
oversee the education activities at the Science Centre, coordinate
school visits and outreach programs and also develop an out-of school
science education pilot program.
To be successful, you will have tertiary qualifications in the areas
of Science, Science Education or Science Communication. You
will demonstrate your experience in either a formal or informal
education environment as well as your experience in teaching
Science. You will also possess experience in creating educational
resource material.
