Ted, I like the direction of your definitions.  One measure of success,
for me, is to ask, "Are they having fun?"  Notice I didn't even say
"having fun with SCIENCE."

I had a great experience yesterday, walking around with 4 other exhibit
geeks - between us, we probably have well over 75 years of museum
experience (hey - several of us are a bit older!).

What was fun was showing each other stuff that we had discovered on our
own, that each of us hadn't thought about or experienced.

We often lean so heavily on formal education - it's the model we are
most familiar with, we understand the language (mostly), we tend to
forget that it is not congruent. If it were, then we wouldn't be what we
are.

For me, its not the product, it's the process.
