The Great Lakes Science Center has just launched some exciting new
educational programs these past six months including a new van-based
Outreach program and Summer Day Camps.  Our pilot programs were very
successful, and now it is time to ramp it up.  Which only means one
thing.....job openings!




 


Manager of Camps, Classes and Outreach (opening 9/1/06)


 

The Great Lakes Science Center seeks an experienced education program
professional to oversee the growth and day-to-day operations of
fee-based programs both in and outside the Science Center. The Manager
of Camps, Classes, and Outreach will oversee the expansion of existing
and development of new programs including but not limited to: summer and
holiday camps, overnight science camp-ins, science classes & day-trips,
and outreach programs to schools and community. The Manager is
responsible for the development and delivery of all fee-based programs
insuring quality while meeting revenue goals.  The strong candidate will
have experience managing one or more fee-based museum programs of
significant scale.  This position reports to the Director of Education &
Outreach.

 

 

Coordinator of Outreach

 

The Great Lakes Science Center seeks an experienced educator to oversee

fee-based community outreach program. The Coordinator of Outreach will
implement the expansion of existing and development of new outreach
programs including but not limited to: assemblies, portable planetarium,
classrooms, festivals and fairs. The Coordinator is responsible for the
development and delivery of fee-based outreach programs, insuring
quality while meeting revenue goals.  The strong candidate will have
significant experience in the implementation of museum outreach
programs.  This position reports to the Manager of Camps, Classes and
Outreach.
