There are programs at Kings College (London) and UC Santa Cruz associated
with the Center for Informal Learning and Schools (CILS) at the
Exploratorium (http://www.exploratorium.edu/cils).  Also the Ph.D. program
at Lesley University associated with George Hein.

  I'm posting this for a friend. I'm looking for recommendations on
interesting ph'd programs in education that focus on informal learning and
also in environmental education. Also open to programs in the UK and New
