Dear Mario,

You are welcome to use images from the Hubble Space Telescope for your
display. Our general public website, upon which you can find all of our
color images, is:

http://hubblesite.org

You might also want to look at the following page that I maintain (although
I need to update it again!) on our website for planetaria and museums. It
lists images sorted by resolution, so you can find the biggest ones easily:

http://hubblesource.stsci.edu/sources/illustrations/

A good source of ground-based observatory photography is the National
Optical Astronomy Observatories. They assert copyright, but I believe they
ask only for a credit (as do we!) for non-commercial use; check with them:

http://www.noao.edu/image_gallery/

The European Southern Observatory also has some beautiful images. Check with
them for usage permission:

I've posted a few other useful links here:

Sincerely,

John Stoke

Does somebody know where can I download free high resolution images related
to Astronomy and recent space exploration? I need enough quality to make
large prints. I will thank any information.

Sincerelly.
