ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Because scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research study weather and
climate, our exhibits cover paleoclimatology as well current and future climate projections
based on our computer climate models. We do not cover evolution per se, but our timelines
of Earth's history certainly conflict with those who hold to a literal biblical view of creation.
While our interpreters always promote scientific ways of knowing based on evidence, we are
also always respectful of our visitors' belief systems. The fact that they are at least looking
at our exhibits and listening to our guides is a step in the right direction. People are more
likely to learn, or at least listen, in a non-threatening, respectful environment.
