ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Personally (and this me, not an institution, talking) I do love theater --
especially really high end planetaria and IMAX films. And I do love museum
theater (live actors) too. What I also like about those type investments for a
museum is their flexibility. You can do a very wide range of programming in a
planetarium, from basic, explainer-led tours of the night sky to laser Floyd
for the teenagers. Same with the IMAX venue, in that the theaters themselves
can be used for live theater or lecture programs -- and there are a huge range
of really super IMAX films available now, including not only science
documentaries but also first-run movies.

some form of large scale and/or theatricality
