Has anyone ever heard of using Fenugreek or Reglan to increase milk supply
for a mom with breast reduction surgery hx. who is breast and supplementing
baby. Is there any point to it? I've heard of it being done but can't
 figure out why. >>

Dear Suzanne,
Yes.
A mom is currently doing this in my area. She previously breastfed 4
children completely. That marriage ended. She married again and had the
reduction surgery. Since then she has had 2 more children and breastfed
using the SNS. The herbs increase her milk supply so she needs much less
formula. Currently the 3 month old baby is about 1/2 to 2/3 breastmilk fed.
The mother only breastfeeds, supplements at the breast with SNS during the
day and uses the breast alone at night. Baby is gaining very well.
