I've used a receiving blanket or a cloth diaper many times for women with
large breasts.  It works well with someone who is having a problem with
pain during breastfeeding.  I also have them support with a "U" hold
instead of a "C" hold.  It can make all the difference in the world.  One
of the nurses on our unit couldn't believe that it was so helpful for
these mothers.  Then she came with me to a room for a consult and heard
the mother's response first hand.  Now she is spreading the word to other
nurses.  One person at a time.
