Is it an ng tube or a ventilator? The ng tube can be removed and replaced if
interferes w/ nsg. Lots of places put a new one in for every feeding q 3
hrs. The ventilator of course has to be kept in to facilitate breathing.
If she is being mistreated and not given info, she should contact the hosp
patient advocate or ask to see the nsg director or even hosp ceo and the
hosp attorney. Ask for the patient's bill of rights. Tell her to make waves.
