Holly,

A couple of suggestions for inexpensive "diaper bags" to replace the
formula company giveaways. First of all we do give out a tote bag (about
$8.00 a peice, I think) that advertises our center. Sometimes something
like this can come out of the advertising budget for your hospital instead
of the patient care budget.

Another thing we have are lunch bag coolers...again I get them from the
marketing dept. They are commonly given away at health fairs and the like.
They run about $2.00 a peice (maybe even cheaper in lg. quantities). Moms
really like this as a "breastmilk cooler" which is what I tell them it is.

I honestly don't know who we order from but...there are scores of catalogs
that will personalize these things with your hospital logo. Again, go to
the PR people...they have more money for this sort of thing than you think!
Ask them if they wouldn't rather advertize your hospital than a formula
company.
