How about a Canadian database of workplace chemicals (mentioned in Lawrence's 4th edition)? I've found nothing to help a mom I'm working with: She works in a dental lab making crowns. Her job includes exposure to lead, acetone, phosphoric acid, graphite and methanol. She can control skin contact but is concerned about inhaling vapors. >> What is the lab doing to protect this Mother? It is their responsiblity to insure a safe worksite. They have to make available to every employee a copy of the OSHA guidelines for every chemical the employees are exposed to in that lab, and also the phone number for OSHA for reporting violations etc. Tell the Mom to look in the lounge or by the timeclock for the OSHA information. This is not your or even the employee's responsibility. Isn't she working under a hood? Please don't think I am being critical of you but again we have to ask who's esponsible here?
