Rob asks "then why the story on Hepatitis B vaccine which did nothing for the public good and as far as I can see did nothing for the internationals." My admittedly-unreconstructed student radical view is that feeding the public rubbish information can do the internationals a lot of good, indirectly. What good does a questioning, well-informed knowledgeable public do for Big Bucks? Now, we could, if we wanted, wearing our unresconstructed student radical hats and waving those banners well-aloft, bring this back to breastfeeding - I have a colleague who muses, aloud, that for some business interests, a *less-than-optimally intelligent* public could be quite a good thing. Now, in a democracy where there are checks and balances preventing mass brain surgery, what might you have to do, in infancy, to ensure this less-than-optimally intelligent public.....hmmmmm? Only one guess allowed. Banner put away in dusty cupboard. Heather Welford Neil NCT bfc Newcastle upon Tyne
