Someone mentioned in a previous post that she received (among other things)
a can of EXPIRED formula.  It was my understanding that this is NOT
appropriate and that the FDA would have a cow (that seems appropriate!) if
they knew a hospital was the source of such material.

IF I am incorrect in my understanding of the rules and regs behind formula
expiration dates, please correct me.

My point, however, is that whomever received such a can needs to alert the
powers that be to this (such as FDA?, JCAHO?)

What do the rest of the wise women on LACTNET think about this?
