Stacey Bentz, Plantar Fasciitis is indeed a very painful experience and localized steroid injections or steroid iontophoresis (ultrasonically administered steroids) are sometimes used to treat this condition. Neither uses a huge amount of steroid and the iontophoresis process poses no risk to the infant.
