Rob said: What is it with this stuff? I looked in Hale's and told them probably safe vs formula but if they had real depression I recommended an SSRI. *sigh* I always wonder too, but realise what a lot of people are thinking is that they don't want to take drugs. People have to really admit they have a "problem" if they seek a prescription, but don't feel the same way if they can go to the health food store for the herbs. I think SSRI's have some real advantages over the herbal route- it's covered by insurance, and the dosage is better regulated. As a loooong term depressed person, I'm very fond of SSRI's. I remember the days of tri-cyclics and wouldn't want to have to return to them. I do think herbs are great for some things like increasing milk, healing salves for minor wounds, and many other things, but depression isn't something to mess around with. == Kate Hallberg, mom to Ursula (wow! 4) and Sage (1.5) http://www.cs.colorado.edu/~kolina * If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends? http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ridge/8193/ _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
