I'm a bit behind and I know this is getting to be an old thread but I can't help but reply. I was able to nurse my daughter quite well in the carseat when she was a baby. The law requiring carseats had just passed ( she is now 14). My breasts did not in any way resemble the ones in the Natl. Geographic. The carseat faces backwards and you simply lean forward and down. I even managed to nurse her when she was older and the seat faced forward. She absolutely hated not being in my arms and the only solution (other than never going anywhere) was to nurse her till she fell asleep after which I assumed a more comfortable position. Life necessitates flexibility and we can't do things perfectly all the time. I figured a screaming child was more of a hazard then me not being securely belted. When I had no choice but to travel alone with her I employed bottles of water (which she hated) or various other methods of occupying her. Give moms a break for doing the best they can under the circumstances, it's tough enough without having to be PC in everything we do. (I'm with Dr. Jack on that one!) Adele Delgado, in the mountains above San Diego where the nearest store is 30 minutes one way and "town" is an hour and thankful not to have little kids in carseats anymore! ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
