i signed up for the symposium on this website, and today was the first day. i was not sure what they had in mind, and it turns out that for now there are questions and answers, questions provided by presumably real people, and answers provided by the official panelists. on a later date there will be live chats, i think, if i read it correctly, on various subjects. the stated subject is supposed to be infant sleep, but the topics range farther. i prefer to not go into this too much in a public forum. i have replied to two of the questions, and i noticed that a reply is not automatically posted on the website, but "forwarded" to the panelists for their consideration. both of my answers included the phrase, "i have not seen mention of this information in any of the standard literature; could you provide references for this response?" or something like that. please write me privately if you want to know more about what i found there. i am wondering if i say more, will i be denied access to this symposium. i urge anyone who chooses to answer to be as rational and professional sounding as possible. don't make remarks for which you don't have a reference. sound scientific. sound professional. and for the sake of all i presume that most of you consider holy, at least by your presence and remarks in this forum, GO to this thing and make your voices heard. use all your initials. sigh. i already quoted R & A in an answer. discussion of what the motivation is behind this thing might best wait until it is over. but this is your first warning. we must do something about this. carol brussel http://www.labfocus.com/symp1098/Index.cfm?CFApp=5 or, Infant Advantage Symposium
