Dani, How frustrating for this mom! How does baby nurse at night? Try baby nursing on mom's chest/tummy while mom lies down. This might help with overactive let-down. Let gravity take hold of that milk supply. If mom is high-anxiety as you describe, what calms her down? Does a bath help? How about co-bathing? What brings on the anxiety? Who else is there to help her? Is there music she finds soothing? I personally found Priscilla Herdman's "Stardreamer" (sorry for the advertisement) helpful for both of us (i.e., it puts everyone to sleep). Lots of luck with this anxiety-provoking situation :-) Johanna Berger, LSW Breastfeeding Counselor _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
