Hi All, I went to my local pharmacy (within a major grocery store chain) last night to find some hydrogel to use on a couple of "owies" I got the other day that have been very painful while healing (dried out and tight). I couldn't find anything called hydrogel, but did spot Curad brand Sof-Gel bandages. They are basically band-aids with the gel stuff on the part that goes on the wound. It seems that the store will no longer be carrying them :( so I neow need to find them somewhere else (I bought the last 3 boxes). They are fabulous. The "owies" have been covered since last night and are no longer painful and red around the edges. I plan on keeping at least one box for my clients who come in with damaged nipples so if they can't find these things, then they can at least get a day or two of relief (until I run out that is!). Anyway, the I asked the pharmacist if they had any hydrogel, and she had not even heard of it. I talked to her about about the great use of the stuff and what I wanted it for and she was very interested! In fact, her daughter just gave birth a week ago and boy did I get a lot of questions asked! Gave my name and # and should be hearing from her and her daughter soon. Great way to educate as well as put my name out there, huh? Oh, she snagged the 4th box of these bandages because she was really impressed with the info I gave her on how skin heals best.
