Hi all, I've followed the debate about the value of creamatocrits for mother's milk. We need to be very, very careful to separate the "political" reasons for studying BF and mother's milk from the truly clinical/academic ones. Learning more of the science related to breastfeeding is always OK, in my opinion. Too bad that no matter what we learn clinically or scientifically, there's someone out there who will twist the results and use legitimate information to goof up breastfeeding. In other words, they use the science irresponsibly or unethically to further a political agenda. This is not a reason to stop learning and studying the science of breastfeeding/lactation. The real issue is how new information can and should be used. The answer, IMHO, is to keep studying and keep learning and using new information in ethical, responsible ways. Linda J.
