I don't have any articles, Cindy, but maybe Tom does.  The point is
that not everything has been studied.  But I know what I have seen, as
you do.  Babies 5 months old, suddenly crying at the breast, not
drinking (I watch them nursing and they are not drinking), even losing
weight (babies who were doing beautifully before), and all this within
7 to 14 days of starting the combination pill.  I ask the mothers to
stop the pill, and things are back to normal, within a few days.  In
some cases we have to boost the milk supply with domperidone, but not
usually.  Surely the possibility that this might occur should stay the
hand of the OB?  After all, it is theoretically possible according to
what we know.
