Becky, as far as archival searches, I was referring to questions like " Is Diflucan safe," ....questions such as this are fine, as long as the person has looked in the archives and the drug has not been covered. Most people are really good about looking first..but some people are new, and do not anticipate the feelings that others will have when they read a note that is from someone who did not take the time to look and read first. I get the notes from people are are frustrated with these types of notes, and who wish to keep the discussions on Lactnet free from repetition as much as possible. It is ok to ask these things *after* searching the archives. I have included archival search directions in the welcome note, so everyone has them. I am also available to help if people have trouble. My point, I guess, is to avoid the frustration that comes when subscribers ask questions that have been covered in depth before, and when the person has not yet taken a look and read those first before starting a new discussion...I receive some complaints on this subject, and therefore, am trying to get people to just be responsible, and look *first.*. Of course I do not mean that we cannot discuss things in new lights, etc. This is the whole purpose of Lactnet. And, I do believe that most people do look, and will also check in their own reference books...such as Hale, etc. There are a few basic references that everyone should have, and Hale is definitely one of them.
