Reminded me of an early experience, about age 11 yrs old, mid 1960's.
Visiting relatives out west, I watched my rebellious cousin's young wife
breastfeed her baby. As she was a very cool "hippie", I got the impression
that breastfeeding was a very cool thing to do.   As I fancied myself also a
very cool hippie, and had worked diligently to look the part, watching her
made quite an impression. You could even say, yes indeed, that young mother,
breastfeeding her baby, even somewhat discreetly, did her thing to contribute
to shaping positive attitudes toward breastfeeding.
