Re : Chelation Therapy

I can't think of anything more ludicrous than chelation therapy without a
real diagnosis of heavy metals poisoning, and particularily during
breastfeeding.

First, remember drugs/heavy metals enter milk as a function of their
concentration in the plasma. It is well known that chelation therapy( EDTA,
BAL) in particular, dramatically resorb metals from bony tissue and TRANSER
them to the PLASMA, and subsequently to the kidneys for excretion. Were a
breastfeeding mom doing this, it could dramatically increase her milk
levels of heavy metals and increase the transfer of heavy metals to milk and
infant.

This is a dangerous idea. Please advise her not to do this.
