i received my lanolin today, and boy was i pleased! in the letter, i was referred to as a "Health Care Professional" like an RN. think i will have it framed. (i need all the humor i can get.) this is the same lanolin i used eleven years with my first born. it is awfully hard to use on soft tissue like nipples, but it works great on dry hands and feet, the usual problem in the rocky mountains, so i was glad to get it. but i am rather unhappy to find the LLLI sold my name. it sounds just like the great analogy of giving ice cream at the diet meeting, or cigarettes at the stop smoking meeting, or even, gosh! formula to mothers that we want to breastfeed. the quotes from the Mask of Motherhood book caused me great astonishment, that is to say, Australia sounds like heaven - requiring all mothers to sign a permission slip before giving formula in the nursery? really? could we start that here? just nice to find some pleasant humor rather than only gallows humor in our news. carol b.
