Hi everyone, Just a few items I'd like to share with you all during World Breastfeeding Week. First, my youngest daughter, K'Ehleyr turned 2 years on Friday. How appropriate she was born on August 1st! She is still nursing. We had our walk at a well known beach park here, and received some media coverage. One of our fellow lactnetters (Jahaan) was interviewed as well. We then went over to the shopping center across from the beach to continue the celebration with a healthy breastfed baby and mother contest. This was sponsored by other groups which promote breastfeeding. I am now sorry that I did not enter with K'Ehleyr. Initially, we were going to enter wearing traditional Vietnamese clothes, but mine do not fit very well anymore. These clothes are made to fit snug, and mine were made before I was married--many moons ago! When we were watching the contestants, I thought we could have dressed as Klingons in honor of my daughter. :) One of our local media personalities was the emcee, so this event received media coverage as well. It was a great day! Aloha, Gloria Thai LLLLeader Hawai'i
