Hi all! I find the descriptions of "lost" babies and their mothers' responses to be rather "normal" and am concerned about calling them hallucinations. Obviously, sleep deprivation (magnified perhaps) can be very powerful and explain a lot. Most moms of twins find that they experience all the joys and frustrations others do, only "more" intensified. Could mom also be experiencing some confusion? Many moms get such strong societal messages about putting babies in their own cribs and threats about rolling over and crushing them. Seems reasonable to be confused and maybe even a little guilty or uncertain about her choice(s). Sleeping with two babes in the bed and trying to nurse them both may also mean more bodies and probably more pillows for propping babies in the same amount of space. Not all that unusual for someone to get "lost" for a few moments. Count me in on this one, or should I say two, too?! I've had this experience with my twins as well, though not with either of my two singletons. Sleep tight, Kym
