Hi all!

My latest set of comebacks were not really "snappy" - what would you expect
after several hours in the emergency room and then finally getting up to
pediatrics at 2AM? But when the pediatric resident looked at my finally calm
little 3 year old nursling, sleeping peacefully at my breast amidst IVs and
all and said "Keep doing what you're doing EXCEPT THAT!" I could only use a
"broken record" technique with her.
"Dr. "D." said we could continue to breastfeed"

Resident replied "But..."and carried on about some reason

I replied - "Dr. "D." said we could continue to breastfeed"

Resident again gave an answer getting snippy

I replied - "Dr. "D." said we could continue to breastfeed"

This parry continued several times and then the resident snapped, "Well, I'll
just have to call Dr. "D." and see for myself what she says"

I smiled and said - "Go right ahead" and snuggled my precious recovering
child to me.

Sometimes, it pays to be persistant!!!

Warmly,
