Jay, in a comment regarding education said "You know what would be really nice? For every community to have a list that is sent around to ALL HCPs that lists all the people/agencies within the community who offer BF help/services." Here in NJ we have regional breastfeeding consortia, composed of hospital representatives, LC's and anyone else who is interested in supporting breastfeeding. Our consortium (and most of the others, I believe) publish a brochure containing just that type of info, listing all of the hospitals in the region, with their bf services and phone numbers. It also includes pump rentals stations in the area, LC's who wish to be contacted for help, LLL numbers, etc. It is a great resource and they make it available (and distribute it ) free to all. We reprint it and give it to all of our bf clients in the hospital as well as in our classes. It would be great if every area had one. I can send a copy to anyone who sends me a SASE. Contact me via e-mail if interested. Kathy Rubin, IBCLC RNC in NJ
