A client has a 3 1/2 week old male baby diagnosed with (inherited) icthyosis. So far the baby has few symptoms - some scaling on the face and hands, but no "fish-like" appearance or discoloration. I'm wondering if breastfeeding can help prevent the symptoms from getting worse. The baby has also had problems with weight gain due to hospital mismanagement. The ped wants to supplement with ABM.
