Yes, I'd like to ditto the thanks to all you generous people. It is Lactnet that keeps me going sometimes - I remember the "meetings in the mail" that the old La Leche League "New beginnings" used to bring. Well, you're my "professional development in the computer" as well as my "keep sane for today" group! For example: Mom brings in baby due to sore nipples - 3 months old. We've been together through NICU, through breast refusal (one of my nipple shield users who weaned from it in a week) through plugged duct (Daddy was the one who called and said "hey, this doesn't seem right - what do we do?") and now - Nipples are glossy and pink. I asked about baby's mouth: "Oh I showed the white areas in the baby's tongue and cheek to the pediatrician two weeks ago and he said it was just my milk." (!!!!!!!!) Just think of all the medications and length of treatment we may need to face (as she does not report sore breasts, I'm starting on topicals, not Diflucan - unless you guys recommend otherwise). [Big teardrops of frustration!] PS - I do not have prescription rights here - but have lots of supportive MD's. Jeanette Panchula, BSW, LLLL, IBCLC, RN Puerto Rico [log in to unmask]
