Hi Laura -

I usually use the term "abajo de su brazo" which simply means under the arm.
 I then go on to explain the placement of the stomach, knees, etc., and that
the baby's head is next to the nipple.  It seems to work well.

But them, my spanish is not perfect - I may be causing giggles after I leave
(and it wouldn't be the first time.  I once told a new mother to use ice
cream on her epis instead of ice!!!).  Oh well, it really "broke the ice"
(sorry).
