> A credentialed IBCLC
>needs MORE than the basics! The exam is difficult enough, but the cut off
>for pass/fail should be higher. Licensing would be further benefit, but HOW
>and WHO??
Pam W. as always right on the money, we need a QUALITY CONTROL, BAD we
need to get our act together FAST or we WILL GO THE WAY OF THE DINOSAURS.
The exam is CRANKING IBCLCs out by the droves.....we have been watered down
do to lack of policing YES I SAID POLICING there are nurse practioners with
ibclc behind their name that are dangerous to moms babies and OUR
profession.....it scares the H--- out of me. I'm NOT going to BITE MY LIP
when a mom and baby are put at SERIOUS RISK due to haphazard care with (my
honored hard earned yes multi thousand hours qualified) title on her
shingle.........and to think they lie about their contact clinical
experience is despicable to me I'm still ANGRY from.....well you
know......better go before the computer burns up. night, bless.......all
