Interestingly, iron sufficiency in breastfed infants is related to the
exclusiveness of breastfeeding.  Feeding other foods actually decreases the
absorbtion of iron from mom's milk.  A recent Italian study showed no anemia
at all in the excluseively breastfed group (no vitamins, absolutely no other
substances than human milk) that received no solids before 7 months.  I posted
