I am concerned that we are falling for the old ploy of having to BUY
something in order to keep baby happy.  Why would a breastfeeding baby NOT
spit the darn things out?  Do adults routinely taste them?  Most taste and
feel awful.  If I were a breastfeeding baby, I would definitely prefer the
much nicer breast (though I have never tasted one--I was a bottle-fed baby,
you see).

We need to be careful about suggesting to manufacturers that breastfed
babies NEED something originally designed for bottle-fed babies.  This
simply lets them continue to sell the adult world on the notion that
breastfeeding is not enough, will not satisfy, is really just a modified
version of bottle-feeding and the like.

Climbing down that soapbox, which was getting pretty high...
