Observing positioning is done with the eyes, not the ears - and therefore
simply cannot be assessed via phone. When I get a call for sore nipples or
poor feeding, I remind the mom gently that if her positioning were perfect
(1) she wouldn't be having a problem needing to call me, or (2) there's
something else going on that needs assessing, which is likely. In any case,
if the problem is bad enough to call me, she needs to be seen - observed - by
someone knowledgable within the next 24 hours.

work enormously, and speeds up getting the solutions to moms and babies.
