The doctors who practice at the hospital where I work seem to use a *lot* of
pitocin. The induction rate is high, many labors are augmented with pitocin, or
the moms have bled heavily so have bags of it after delivery. My partner and I
seem to see so many mothers who seem to have little colostrum and/or milk seems
to come in really slowly, most of whom have had pitocin. Does anybody else see
this, or are we imagining things?

I remember Linda Black mentioning a possible effect of pitocin on breast cells
at a conference a few years back, but I think it was just speculation. Anybody
know of any research into this area?
