US baby milk companies, Mead Johnson and Bristol Myers, are attempting to
undermine national laws and the WHO/UNICEF International Code of Marketing
of Breastmilk Substitutes through the Internet

The International Code bans all promotion of baby milks, baby foods and
bottles and teats and has been converted into law in many countries. But now
those countries have no protection against misleading information at the
US-based home pages of Mead Johnson and Bristol Myers. While the companies
will argue that the information is only for a US audience, it contravenes
other laws by being available.

Each year, one and a half million babies die because they are not breastfed.
Millions more fall ill. Company promotion plays a key part in encouraging
women to bottle feed instead of breastfeed.

Don't let them get away with it!
