Alicia, good point about inadvertantly replying to the list rather than privately. Never occurred to me since I can't just hit "reply" for Lactnet if I want to get a proper subject line. However, I do think usually it's possible to tell when something has been posted in error, and I'm sure the legitimate subscribers would not share such a post. Regarding the "code for permission" (PGUI), I think this is a great idea, but since those who don't want their posts shared with others seem to be in the minority, why not add a code to the posts we DON'T want shared. I wondered to Kathleen Auerbach last night via email whether this could be part of the subscription info we all receive in the beginning. Sort of a disclaimer that if you "don't want your post shared with other LC's, etc. who don't belong to the list, please note this along with your signature". Of course, only those of us with ethics would pay any attention to this; anybody who really wants to lift anything can do so!
