I have recently had a baby in my practice who required a frenuloplasty rather than a frenotomy. This little guy had a frenulum that was placed properly but was extremely tight and short, almost to the point of being absent. I would never have picked up a tongue tie without Alison's ATLFF, the tongue looked perfect, but he 'failed' every function test, and as a result was unable to breastfeed. It took the mom awhile to see me, she tried feeding via eyedropper for a few weeks first on her own. It took longer to schedule the surgery, since it had to be done under anesthesia. The surgeon recommended that the
