The questions you raised about dining/dealing with the devil were ones that I have longed wondered about myself... Infact, yesterday an abm rep came on the unit to give the nurses their new bf booklet for moms. At a brief glance, it does not have any overt pics of abm, just their logo on the cover . The rep said she was very proud of her company as they want to work *with* LC's and bf families and not compete with them. The authors are 3 IBCLC's and one well respected RN with a DNSc. I have always held strong to not displaying brocheures, etc with the free advertising of abm companies. The staff is now enlightened to not display this info on the unit either. Now, along comes this booklet. I'm confused. Is this selling out? Are we as LC's going to take the info and present it to parents if it is sound and make it available especially with budgetary constraints that hosp's are undergoing??? As Margery you have asked, where do we draw the line? Any thoughts? Have you seen this booklet I'm describing?
