Please don't get me wrong--I am greatly disturbed by the Ezzos, their programs and everything they stand for. However, I must say, I think having a policy of reporting and every case that of possible FTT that comes your way might be a knee-jerk reaction. Some parents who after hearing correct infomation may choose to change their feeding method if approached in a non-threatening manner. I think a viable alternative would be to report to the infant's physician who is required to report to CPS if he is suspicious of anything. If word gets out that an LC or any HCP for that matter routinely reports parents to CPS, no one will wish to seek out your help or advice--Ezzo parents or not. I'm not saying that it isn't warrented or even essential in some cases but I would hate to see anyone become too hasty on this.
