A ten-month old twin has been on a nursing strike since Thursday night for no apparent reason. No ear infection, no sign of teeth. She takes EBM by cup or bottle without any trouble. She will nurse when "asleep" if mom picks her up after she's been asleep for an hour or so. She just cries when offered the breast. Mom doesn't recall any traumatic event. She had been nursing 3x day before this. Mom is afraid she's weaning. This baby had terrible "colic" sx which turned out to be twisted intestines that were repaired by surgery seven months ago. Mom has three under three and really wants this baby happily back on the breast. I've never seen a nursing strike last this long. What am I missing? Elizabeth Novelo Puzar, IBCLC
