RE: aversive baby - the answer to which speciality can help best is ALL OF
THEM, starting with the baby's primary care provider. This is a case for a
team approach if ever I saw one! No one specialty knows everything about
infant feeding, and not all infant feeding specialists are thoroughly
familiar with breastfeeding. (Don't get me started on that one). An expert on
breastfeeding may, or may not, have other "credentials." All need to work
together, because each may have a valuable piece of the puzzle. All should
believe that BF is important. This could be an infant problem (likely), a
maternal problem (less likely), and/or a relationship problem (less likely).
There's no good reason to think the solution lies with one "magic" answer.
