Re the woman whose nipples were "corrected" at 13 and who now wants to feed her abm-sensitive baby: What happens if the tip of the nipple is sliced off (ow, ow, ow!) to below the level of any pre-existing scar tissue? This woman must have normal structures below the surgical damage. I envision the pressure and flow of milk and the manipulation from pumping/expressing/nursing being enough to keep the pores open during healing. Is this too simplistic?
