I have some great news that I am just dying to share!!! Starting in January I will start teaching a prenatal breastfeeding class separate from our regular Prepared Childbirth class. Although I am not IBCLC, I am the only staff person at our hospital who advocates BF in the way that we all should, and I serve as the "lactation counselour" for our patients and staff. I am working on my consultancy hours to count toward my IBCLC. The good news is that I have gained the respect of the Docs at our hospital. Now they call me and ask questions versus my having to follow up and gently "correct" their misinformation!!!!! The hospital has given me the go ahead to order some additional educational material, and through my connections and networking I have obtained large amounts of literature from the local WIC office. I feel we are well on our way toward baby friendly!!! We no longer distribute literature or show videos that are produced by ABM companies. Just wanted to share the good news with people who will understand my excitement!!!!! ~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^*~^* Jeffrey S.
